The organization reported that May was the month with the most victims, adding 94 cases. This is followed by April, with 88, and March, with 84. Of the total number of victims, in 568 cases a firearm was used for the homicide; In 90 a knife was used, and in 104 cases another object was used.
In contrast, feminicide, another of the high-impact crimes recorded by the capital authorities, has had a marked decrease since 2022, registering 60 victims. In 2023 it reported 52 and, from January to October 2024, 46.
Kidnapping is also another crime with a decrease of 82% compared to the previous year, going from 66 victims in 2023 to 12 in 2024.
The Citizen Council for Security reported, through a statement, that high and low impact crimes have a decrease of 14% in Mexico City.
