Alex Saab: Anti-blockade law is a shield against those who want to bend us

The Minister of Industry and National Production, Alex Saab, defended that the new Anti-Blockade law is an instrument that contributes to investment and effectively confronts the sanctions imposed by the United States and allies.

“The Anti-Blockade Law is consolidated as a strategic pillar to confront sanctions, promote investment and guarantee the well-being of the Venezuelan people, in a context of resistance and transformation,” Saab said in an interview with Venezuela News.

The minister highlighted that this legal instrument “is not only a legal tool, but also the shield with which Venezuela has faced the most ruthless attacks from those who tried to subdue us.”

In this sense, Saab categorically rejected the calls made by sectors of the extremist right for greater sanctions to be imposed from abroad against the Venezuelan economy and people. “They are sanctions promoted by that parallel Venezuela that they have wanted to establish in Miami and Madrid,” he highlighted.

Despite this, the minister defended that the country, with the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, and the resistance of the Venezuelan people, has known how to overcome these sanctions and has lifted the national economy.

“We have shown that neither the cruelest sanctions nor the strictest blockades nor kidnappings will be able to stop the will of a people fighting for their sovereignty, their dignity and their right to a future of prosperity,” he said.

The official welcomed that “with this law, we have transformed adversity into strength and resistance into development opportunities.”
