During his participation in the work tables for the discussion of the Economic Package of Mexico City for Fiscal Year 2025, the mayor of Gustavo A. Madero, Ricardo Janecarlo Lozano Reynoso, requested a budget increase of 980 million pesos for fiscal year 2025 , reaching a total projection of 6,400 million pesos.
Before the Mexico City Congress, Lozano highlighted that the additional resources will be allocated to key projects for the demarcation, including the rehabilitation of basic level schools, the construction of a Women’s Clinic, and the maintenance of public markets. and urban infrastructure.
One of the priority projects will be the Educational Sports Space and Cultural Nuclei (EDENES), which seeks to create dignified and accessible areas for the development of children and young people through sports, artistic and educational activities. In addition, the mayor assured that security is one of the main axes of his administration, mentioning the closures of extortion cells in Cuautepec and the implementation of the Safe Path program: Walk Free, Walk Safe, focused on improving the security of the most populated neighborhoods. vulnerable.
Regarding urban services, Lozano highlighted the success of the Bachetón program, with more than 30,000 square meters of potholes repaired in the district, he also highlighted that 35 chelerías have been closed as it is considered a public health issue.
Finally, the mayor mentioned the need for a cultural and entertainment center that lives up to the cultural demand of the mayor’s office, for which an allocation of 3.5 million pesos is contemplated in the requested budget.
