Mived clarifies that he did not agree with a British company in Albania

The private company Gramma Constructora SRL, and not the Dominican Government, sent a letter of intent to the Eco Buildings Groupa British modular home company, whose factory is located in Albaniaconfirming an order of US$237 million for 10 thousand homes.

The British company originally reported that it had reached an agreement with the Dominican Government, since in the group that visited Albania the Minister of Housing and Buildings was there, Carlos Bonilla.

BonillaHowever, he told Free Diary that did not sign any agreement on behalf of the Dominican State and that no executive of the aforementioned company was in the delegation that accompanied him.

“I went to Albania to see a constructive method invited by Wally Brewster, former United States ambassador. When I return here I find the news of a letter of intent for 10,000 with that company,” said Bonilla.

I did not sign any document with anyone nor was it discussed.. Later it turned out that it was a company that signed it (the intention) but I don’t know them nor were they on the trip. I understand that the outside company is mixing things up for its shares to rise in price since it is a public company,” Bonilla said in a message to Free Diary.

In a statement, the Mived indicated that: “The Gramma Constructora company has denied establishing contact with the Government of the Dominican Republic, through Mivedfor the purchase of low-cost houses Eco Buildings Group“.

The inaccurate reporting of the agreement with the Dominican Government caused the actions of Eco Buildings Group will increase by 24% on the London stock exchange.

According to the British press, Gramma Constructora SRL will acquire two thousand housing units annually, once it obtains government permits.

They also mention the possibility of building a manufacturing factory in the Dominican Republic.

“With products that cost 50% less and two-thirds lighter that can be built five times faster than conventional homes, our technology is perfect to address the housing needs of the Dominican Republic,” he said Eco Buildings Group.

The chief executive of Eco Buildings said: “We are pleased with the progress made during the visit of the delegation of the Dominican Republic to our factory in Albania. Their enthusiasm and recognition of our technology reaffirms Eco Buildings’ ability to meet global housing challenges. “The success of our vision and their housing strategy marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term partnership.”

“We hope to formalize agreements in the near future to contribute to the Dominican Republic’s initiatives, helping them deliver thousands of homes that are not only cheap but also sustainable and of high quality.”
