Colombian court orders publication of roadmap for work visa for Venezuelan migrants

The Court ordered Migration Colombia to refrain from urging Venezuelan migrants to withdraw from the SC-2 safe passage to process the study and delivery of the Temporary Protection Permit (PPT).


This Thursday, November 21, the Constitutional Court of Colombia ordered the Foreign Ministry to publish a roadmap so that Venezuelan migrants, as refugees, know how to access a visa that allows them to work in the country. This while his refugee application is being resolved.

The decision arose after a protection filed by two migrants who considered that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and the Special Administrative Unit of Migration Colombia violated their rights to petition, due process and work.
