He Institute National of Waters Potable and Sewers (Inapa) announced that the construction of the sewerage sanitary Higuey, La Altagracia province, will begin next year.
During a visit to the municipality, the director of Inapa, Wellington Arnaudexplained that, although the exact date of the start of the work cannot yet be specified, progress is being made in the process necessary for its execution. “This has a schedule. These are issues financed by the Bank Interamerican Development (IDB), and everything must continue its course,” he highlighted.
Through a press release, Arnaud reported that a public call through the media to prequalify companies interested in participating in the bidding process. “We are taking the necessary steps to materialize this project and bring benefits to the province,” he added.
Meeting with community leaders
The announcement took place during a meeting with community leaders of La Altagracia, whose objective was to listen to the needs of citizens and offer solutions. Arnaud was accompanied by his technical team to address the concerns of the population and evaluate the state of the service in the region.
Complaints of the communities
At the meeting, Francisco Pérez, president of the Anamuya Neighborhood Council, denounced that the company in charge of the local aqueduct work abandoned the project, leaving a million-dollar investment unfinished. Pérez expressed his hope that the Inapa offer a next solution.
For his part, Esteban Reyes, president of the Los Morales Neighborhood Council requested a technical survey to address the problem of water accumulation in various parts of the community during the rains.
In response, Arnaud instructed his team technician to perform the corresponding studies to address the complaints presented and guarantee the execution of effective solutions for the benefit of residents.
With this project sewerage sanitary, Inapa searches improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Higuey and address the priority needs of the province.
