The governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán and the mayor of the Vargas Municipality, José Manuel Suárez, reopened this Thursday the Municipal Police module in the Plaza Luis Brión in Maiquetía.
The activity took place within the framework of an anti-imperialist forum that brought together the people of Guaire to celebrate the recovery of this space of citizen security.
“This module, which on July 29 suffered the attacks of a fascist right blinded by hatred and resentment, today has been recovered in the name of peace. It is a triumph for our people, for our principles, so that our officials continue to make La Guaira the safest state in the country,” said Governor Terán during his speech.
With this delivery, there are now six police modules restored after the violent events recorded after the presidential elections of July 28. This module was equipped with a restroom and rest area for officers on duty.
Mayor Suárez highlighted the importance of returning these spaces to the community. “Peace is not just a word, it is a daily construction, and today we take another step towards that ideal with this reopening that symbolizes the strength and unity of the Guaireño people.”
In addition, it was announced that in the coming days a new module of the La Guaira State Police will be inaugurated on Paseo de Macuto, which is being completely rehabilitated to promote the economic and social development of the region.
