Sociologists, psychiatrists, anthropologists and psychologists will deliver a report to the Constitutional Chamber on the effects of this type of challenges on the behavior of boys, girls and adolescents
The Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice announced the formation of a multidisciplinary team that will evaluate the effects produced by the challenges spread on the social network TikTok that affect human behavior, especially that of children and adolescents.
“It will be a multidisciplinary team made up of sociologists, psychiatrists, social workers, anthropologists and psychologists who will prepare a report and deliver it to the Constitutional Chamber on the effects produced by these types of challenges spread by the social network TikTok on human behavior, especially in that of children and adolescents,” reads the agreement of the public hearing, read by the Second Vice President of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and President of the Constitutional Chamber, Judge Tania. D’Amelio.
The Bolivarian Family Movement Aristóbulo Istúriz submitted on Wednesday before the TSJ an appeal for protection of children and young people in the face of the threat posed by the viral challenges of the social network TikTok.
For his part, the Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruíz, who was present at the hearing, called on children and young people to “not fall into challenges and provocations that threaten their own safety.”
Likewise, he invited parents, family members and representatives to report any inappropriate behavior that could put their lives at risk or that incites them to commit a crime or attack another person.
He reiterated that they can go to any headquarters of the Ombudsman’s Office or educational units.
He was present at the hearing the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, who described the hearing as historic, promoted by mothers and fathers who believed in family values
