The Association of EPS Sanitas users, intervened by the National Superintendency of Health, launched a new alert in the face of the difficulties that continue to arise in the delivery of medicines in the country.

“From this date on which the intervention of the EPS Sanitas was ordered, the health services that we receive users and patients have been deterioratingaggravating the health conditions of many, due to the interruption of treatments and the increase in out-of-pocket spending,” he said.

He highlighted that the change of pharmaceutical manager implemented for the EPS Sanitas has not solved the difficulties that had been occurring with Cruz Verde.
“We see that on the contrary, Instead of improving, cases of medication have increased, supplies and devices pending, out of stock or out of stockwhich has led to a serious impact on the treatment of many patients who are still waiting for a solution,” he explained.
He said that today a serious humanitarian crisis has been generated with the entry into operation of the new pharmaceutical managers.
“The biggest crisis is occurring in the departments ofe La Guajira, Chocó, Nariño, Norte de Santander, Santander, Boyacá, César, Huila and Córdoba, but for the rest of the country the situation is not better,” he stressed.
He pointed out that, added to the critical situation of the dispensing of medicines, There is already a great crisis in other services provided to EPS Sanitas users, The most affected being the scheduling of appointments.
“We request that an intervention be carried out urgently, in front of all pharmaceutical managers to provide an immediate solution to the difficulties presented in the dispensing of PBS and non-PBS medications,” he noted.
