The National Social Security Administration (Anses) reported this Friday that they will expand the possibilities of access to Early Retirement based on the recognition of periods of maternity leave, the time in which the unemployment benefit has been received and the payments of moratorium until June 30, 2021.
As of Resolution 2/2022, published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, the possibilities of accessing Early Retirement are improved since periods of maternity leave will begin to be recognized, the time in which the unemployment benefit has been received and moratorium payments until June 30, 2021, reported in a statement from the pension agency.
In February, the average salary of people who already managed to access Early Retirement was 81,637 pesos
“This extension of the Early Retirement for Argentine men and women who contributed all their lives is one more step that we are taking to extend access to Social Security. In those moments in which the labor market turns its back on them, from the National State we guarantee more and better rights, we are present and accompany them after a lifetime of work”, said the executive director of Anses, Fernanda Raverta.
Early Retirement began to be implemented in October 2021 and will be in force for two years. So far, 15,000 Early Retirement procedures have already been initiated and, in the month of February, more than 8,800 people have already received their benefit.

In this way, they highlighted that Early Retirement is intended for women between 55 and 59 years old and men between 60 and 64 who were unemployed as of June 30, 2021 and who already had 30 years of services with contribution. More than half of the people in this situation had been laid off during the 2016-2019 period.
Early Retirement grants a credit of 80% of what will correspond to the person at the time of reaching retirement age (60 for women and 65 for men), and at that time, the Early Retirement will automatically become a retirement to 100%.
