Santo Domingo.-A Santo Domingo Oeste court sentenced a man found guilty of raping and impregnating his stepdaughter to 20 years in prison in an event that occurred in 2022.
The judges of the Fourth Collegiate Court, composed of judges Julio de los Santos Morlan, Sandra Josefina Cruz Rosario and Clara Yoselin Rivera Franco, found guilty the convicted man, whose name is omitted to avoid mentioning the name of the minor victim and to avoid revictimize her.
During the trial, trial prosecutors Vilma Méndez and Sugely Valdez pointed out that as a result of the sexual violation committed by the defendant to the detriment of his stepdaughters, a 16-year-old teenager, she became pregnant and gave birth to a child. a child
The accusation of Public Ministry indicates that the report of this illegal event was made in September 2023 by an aunt of the victim, to whom the teenager confessed that her mother’s romantic partner had been raping her since 2022.
The defendant must serve the conviction in the La Victoria prison, in Santo Domingo Norte, for violation of articles 331, 331-2, 332-1 of the Dominican Penal Code and articles 12 and 396, literals A, B, C of Law 136-03, Code for the Protection of the Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents.
