Among the findings of the health authorities of the capital of Tolima, it was evident the presence of cockroaches in the spaces where the bakery supplies were stored and even in the boxes of the products that were later sold to the public.

“The cause was an infestation, a nest of cockroaches, cockroaches that were on ceilings, walls, floors, on the refrigerator, walking on the products that were going to be processed to provide the consumption of Ibaguereños. In the bread flour, in the cartons where the birthday cakes were going to be kept,” explained Liliana Ospina, Secretary of Health of Ibagué.

It is contemplated that the closure decision will be lifted by the health authorities once the owners of the establishments guarantee the control and elimination of pests, as well as the ideal storage of products.
