Carnival will be rainy in most of the country. This is the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet). From today (26th) to Tuesday (1st) there are forecasts of rain every day, especially in the North and South of the country. The South, even, had been suffering from a drought in recent months and will have a truce from the holiday.
South
Today (26) will be closed weather throughout the south of the country. The forecast in the three states of the region is of cloudy skies with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. On Monday (28), the sky begins to open in almost all of Paraná, with the exception of the south of the state. On Tuesday (1st), the sun appears in the south of the region, close to the border with Uruguay.
North
Saturday is forecast for cloudy skies with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms across the North Region. The sky opens on Monday, but only in the north of Pará and in part of Amapá. On Tuesday, the weather closes again in all states, with the exception of the northernmost region of Roraima.
North East
The weather starts out milder in most parts of the region, with clouds, but no rain, in Pernambuco, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará. In the other states of the region, the forecast is for many clouds with rain showers. On Sunday, the sky is overcast with isolated rain showers in part of Ceará, including the capital, Fortaleza. All of Maranhão, the north of Piauí and the center and south of Bahia are forecast for many clouds with isolated rains and thunderstorms.
On Monday, the weather closes in the entire coastal region of the Northeast. Maranhão, north of Piauí, Ceará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe and part of Bahia. In these places, the forecast is for many clouds with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. On Tuesday, the chances of rain decrease throughout the region, with the exception of Maranhão, western Piauí and part of Bahia, including the capital, Salvador, and the municipalities further south.
Southeast
The forecast for today is sunny with clouds in Rio de Janeiro, possibility of isolated rain in Minas Gerais and many clouds with isolated rain showers in São Paulo and Espírito Santo. Tomorrow (27), the weather closes in São Paulo and in the center and south of Minas, with lots of clouds, with rain and isolated thunderstorms. In the capital of São Paulo and throughout the coastal region of the state, there will be clouds and the possibility of rain.
From Monday, the chances of rain reduce in the region. Part of Minas Gerais has the possibility of isolated rain, as well as the entire state of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Part of Espírito Santo will have sun, as will the center and north of Minas. Tuesday follows the trend, with chances of isolated rain throughout the region, except in Rio de Janeiro. There, the forecast is for clouds, no rain.
Midwest
It will be a Saturday of clouds and isolated rain showers across the Midwest region. Tomorrow, the sky will be more cloudy, with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, with the exception of Brasília and the northeast of Goiás. In these places, there will be the possibility of isolated rain.
The following day, rain is once again just a possibility in the entire region, with the exception of the state of Mato Grosso, which will still have showers and isolated thunderstorms. Tuesday follows the same trend as the previous day, with clouds and the possibility of rain in all states, except Mato Grosso, where there will be rain and isolated thunderstorms.
