Due to the impasse that arose with the Patronage Law and the tax issue, Ministry of Culture activated a fund to support the activities that would be under that mechanism.
The minister Milagros German reported that 10 million pesos are available to give the green light to at least 30 projects out of 100 that had been chosen to be supported through patronage.
He recalled that the aforementioned law is in the process of review due to the lack of clarity of the tax incentive that would be applied to those who support projects under that figure.

He indicated that this is a new law and the Ministry of Culture must create the structure that would implement this mechanism, which it did to support various cultural projects throughout the country.
However, a weakness was found in the drafting of the tax benefit.
Regarding criticism of the tax incentive through the Film Law, Germán said that adjustments have already been made, such as putting limits on productions.
Germán pointed out that a positive part of this incentive is that the productions are made in the country, benefiting many people, so one cannot see only the benefit of the tax credit, but a series of gains in the communities.
