Agriculture says that country will export grapes in April

Agricultura dice que país exportará uva en abril

The Dominican Republic is going to begin exporting table grapes starting in April of next year, the Minister of Agriculture reported yesterday. Limber Cruz.

The official expressed that the grapes that will be exported are of several varieties and of good quality.

He said that in the country 11 locations were identified where grapes can be grown and that in five of those points there are already some varieties planted.

The official explained that some of these varieties will be harvested in the first four months of next year.

The Dominican Republic export other fruits (banana, avocado, mango, dough chestnut, lemon, sour orange and others) to different countries, Cruz recalled, when interviewed on Color Visión’s Despertador, channel 9.

He stated that the country also exports cassava, banana, sweet potato, coffee, cocoa, bell pepper, oriental vegetables, and coconut, among other products. He stressed that during this Christmas period there will be no shortage, because there is an abundance of chicken, pork, rice, groceries, fruits, potatoes and other vegetables consumed in the country.
