The ministry of Economy, Planning and Development (Mepyd) obtained first place in the fourth edition of the National Award for Public Innovation, awarded by the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency (Mapre).
The jury determined that the project called “Small Area Estimation (SAE)”, developed by Mabely Elizabeth Díaz Soriano, Joel Gabriel Méndez Cabrera and Carlos Alberto Peña Valerioadjusted to the established parameters with a higher level of satisfaction.

The award was presented, in the Green Room of the National Palace, by the vice president Raquel Penatogether with the Minister of Mapre, Andrés Bautista and the Vice Minister of Innovation, Transparency and Citizen Attention, Dilia Leticia Jorge Mera.
The initiative seeks to promote initiatives that transform public policies, processes and services provided to the population.
In second place was chosen the “Monetary and Financial Administration Portal (PAMF)” project, of the Superintendency of Banks and Central Bank, promoted by Catherine Asencio León, Jean Carlos Jiménez Domínguez, Wander Moreta and Rayson Augusto Gil Mejía. While, in third place, the collaborators of the Superintendency of Banks, Central Bank and Superintendence of the Securities Market, Manuel Eugenio Rodríguez Troncoso, Greilyn Lora Bencosme, Sofía Henríquez Villar and Andrés Eduardo Rodríguez Santos, were recognized with the proposal “ “Financial Innovation HUB”.
In addition, three initiatives were recognized with honorable mention, among them: “Evaluation of Health Technologies (Evtesa)”, from the Superintendency of Health and Occupational Risks (Sisalril).
