The general secretary of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Johnny Pujolsconsidered yesterday that given the imminent danger to the Dominican Republic of the situation of violence in Haiti, it is urgent that the Government implement a true immigration policy and border protection.
When meeting with the block of deputies, along with a delegation of leaders, he maintained that this administration has never had a clear immigration policy and protection of the strip, as shown with the thousands of immigrants who enter every day irregularly.
He considered that the announcement of the mass deportations is nothing more than a drama and that the correct thing is to protect the border, where in his opinion, the Government has not been responsible.

Pujols affirmed that the Government and the official party They abuse the municipalities of La Vegaby ignoring the popular will emanated in the elections, making the mayor resign and pressuring the vice mayor to resign.
He defined it as an imposition to seek the appointment of a mayor with a shortlist from the PRM itself, with which the Government confuses institutionality with party decisions.
“They believe that the institutions are property of the PRM, but the person responsible for them is the Dominican people and they delegate their authority by mandate to a person and, if this person is not there, then what there should be are elections,” he said.
The leadership of the PLD in La Vega will file an appeal for protection today in an attempt to prevent the Government and the PRM continue “mocking” La Vega.
In addition, Pujols urged PLD legislators to be vigilant to avoid any attempt to privatize mass transportation through trusts.
