The Office Judicial of Permanent Care Services of the National District decided to postpone until next Monday, November 25, at 2:00 in the afternoon, the hearing to know the extent of coercion against those involved in an alleged criminal network made up of agents from the National Police, accused of stealing at least 900 thousand projectiles from the institution.
The postponement was requested by the defense of the ten defendants and a company involved, due to the extensive volume of the request for extent of coercionwith the purpose of analyzing in depth the file presented by the Public Ministry.
Wilson Camachohead of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca), pointed out that the investigation is still in progress, so the amounts stolen and the number of defendants could vary in the future. extent in which part of the projectiles allegedly sold are recovered.
For its part, Vinicio Aquinas Figuereo, defense attorney for Colonel Narciso Antonio Romero and Captain Juan Miguel Soler Pérez, highlighted that he received the evidence from the Public Ministry on a USB memory, prior to the hearing.
