The Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartiniruled out resigning after the scandal Qali Warma. In that sense, he assured that he will work “very hard” to correct the errors in his portfolio.
The head of Midis indicated that he will not turn the page on what happened in Qali Warma, after reports of horse meat being delivered to children, as well as food in terrible conditions. Given this, he indicated that he will take action.
“We are in a frontal fight against some mafias,” he said on Canal N. And he added that there would be a criminal network. Thus, he suggested that bad employees are colluding in these events.
Demartini emphasized that he will not resign, despite the questions.
“Unfortunately, I already know when these things happen and they go out everywhere to demand the head of the minister. To the extent that the president gives me the responsibility, I will continue working very hard to correct this,” he indicated.
Midis denies that they distribute animal food
The Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion “emphatically” denied that the Qali Warma program distributes food for animals in Ayacucho schools, as Punto Final revealed.
Likewise, he indicated that the products they distribute have health records issued by the General Directorate of Environmental Health (Digesa). In addition, he announced that they will include the company Frigoinca in the list of those prevented from providing food to State programs.
