For reasons still unknown, José Miguel Mieres Cordero, 26, dismembered his father José Abraham Mieres Bastidas, 52, and subsequently hanged himself in the kitchen of his residence.

The event occurred on Thursday night, in an annex of the La Libertad neighborhood in Guacara, Carabobo state, where two bodies were found.

The authorities explained that the father’s body was found dismembered in the bathroom of the building, while that of José Miguel was hanging in the kitchen.

It was learned that the incident occurred around 8 at night, when a neighbor in the area heard unusual noises and decided to enter the annex and upon entering he found José Miguel hanging and quickly notified the authorities.

A Guacara Police commission discovered the second body and proceeded to investigate the crime scene. The experts found that José Abraham’s body was dismembered into ten parts, in addition to locating several knives that could have been used by young José Miguel.
