Maduro: “There is no negotiation with fascism or with the fascist”

President Nicolás Maduro referred to the recent release of more than 200 people detained during the violent events following the presidential elections of July 28, who were proven innocent and received their release ticket.

In his program ‘Con Maduro +’, and questioned by journalist Clodosvaldo Hernández, the head of state said that there is no negotiation with fascist sectors, beyond the release of these people. “There is no negotiation with fascism or with the fascist woman,” he said in reference to the far-right leader María Corina Machado.

“There is dialogue with the democratic sectors and there will be dialogue with the owners of the fascist right… we are not in a hurry, let’s let what has to happen happen in the north,” added the president, referring to the change of government in the United States.

The head of state explained that the process of releasing these people was a joint initiative between the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice Caryslia Rodríguez and President Nicolás Maduro “in the search for justice ”.

“If someone’s innocence is proven, prompt and restorative justice must be done,” the president made clear, while urging “justice and punishment to those who burned, those who killed, those who shot innocent people.” during the dark post-election day,

He congratulated the justice bodies for taking these steps and promised that there will be general justice. “Only with justice will there be peace!” he said.
