Fanb destroys illegal material in Amazonas

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces dealt another hard blow to illegal mining in the state of Amazonas by seizing and destroying strategic material used for these illegal actions.

The strategic operational commander of the Fanb, G/J. Domingo Hernández Lárez reported that in compliance with the instructions of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, seven motorcycles of various brands and models, four power plants, 28 water pumps, 18 rolls of hose, 22 pans and 4,100 liters of water were seized. fuel.
The military operation was carried out in Amazonas, in an indigenous community, as part of Operation Charity 1-2024.

Hernández Lárez also highlighted that 1,100 meters of rope, 60 meters of carpet, 500 liters of oil, 70 liters of liquor, 900 liters of soft drink, 40 plastic containers, 54 boxes of beer, 29 shovels, 14 were also seized. pickaxes, 5 hydrojets, 400 meters of canvas, 12 rubber boots, 8 meters of iron grates, among others elements used by criminals to harm the environment.

In that sense, it is important to highlight that military personnel remain deployed in the Amazonas Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone to expel individuals for contravening the Venezuelan territorial legal system.

It should be noted that on October 10, members of the Territorial Defensive System, through area reconnaissance patrols and scrutinizing in search of structured organized crime groups on the eastern coasts, seized 51 drums containing 200 liters of type fuel. gasoline for a total of 10,200 liters in the Ensenada de Puerto Nuevo, Sucre state.

In this way, Hernández Lárez indicated that the Fanb Strategic Operational Command “continues to fight to guarantee the security and defense of Venezuelan territory, which is why it continues to be deployed in all border regions to be a guarantor of security and independence in all corners of the country.”
