Interurban Train "The Insurgent" adds two days of failures

Through its official networks, the Interurban Train reported that personnel were working on tracks in the section between the Santa Fe and Lerma stations to resume service. Around 7:10 p.m., the Santa Fe station was reopened and service was completely resumed.

This is the second failure recorded in the Interurban Train, just over two months after its inauguration to Santa Fe on September 1, which was led by former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the current president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum.

This Friday, November 15, the service was suspended for around five hours at the Santa Fe station, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It was resumed at night, despite users reporting waits of up to 30 minutes for each station on social networks.

So far the authorities have not revealed what caused the failures during the two days.

On September 7, the service also presented problems, with waiting times of up to 45 minutes at the stations, although on that occasion the service was not suspended.

This year there were also three incidents in its construction: in February the fall of two workers from a platform (15 meters high). One died due to the accident; In January a 90-ton concrete segment fell on a section under construction and in April an 800-ton beam launcher collapsed.
