Santo Domingo.-The Ibero-American University (Unibe) celebrated its Fifty-Eighth Ordinary Graduation, graduating 433 new professionals in different careers, specialties and master’s degrees.
At the graduation, professionals from the United States, Venezuela, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Ecuador, Italy, Uruguay, Honduras, Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic were inducted, in the presence of members of the Council of Regents and the Academic Council of the university , family members of the graduates and special guests.
The entity, which was founded 42 years ago, has already delivered more than 25,000 professionals to society.
During the central speech of the event, Dr. Odile Camilo Vincent, rector of the university, congratulated the graduates for having completed their undergraduate and graduate studies, thus closing a cycle of effort, work and dedication, and joining the more than 25,000 graduates. who fill that house of studies with pride, standing out for their creativity, leadership and professional commitment.
The rector spoke about the comprehensive training that the graduates received during their years at Unibe, thanks to the subjects of art, social, sustainability, entrepreneurship and leadership, with the aim of promoting the development of skills, values and attitudes that would allow them to understand our reality.
“Our purpose is to train citizens who, in addition to mastering technical knowledge, have a civic conscience that inspires them to contribute to the common good and the strengthening of democracy,” he stated.
He urged the graduates to commit to causes that contribute to the sustainable development of the country, contributing their talent and creativity.
