Juan Ramón Quintana, Evo Morales’ former minister wanted for alleged terrorism and other crimes, reappeared this Sunday through a video in which he asked, insistently, not to be afraid of Luis Arce’s government.

He assured that “the abuse of power by the regime of Luis Arce and David Choquehuanca has bankrupted, broken and has crossed the red lines” because, according to his version, “he persecutes with viciousness, hatred and all the accumulated grudges” his “comrades in struggle.”

I’m not going to be an easy target for them to try to kill me, as they have tried to do with comrade Evo Morales, I’m not going to put myself in the telescopic sight of those who are trying to silence critical voices, I am not going to do it out of responsibility for my family, out of responsibility for our struggle and that is why I call on our colleagues to continue fighting for our rights,” he said.

Likewise, he called on his “comrades” not to lower their arms and to continue standing “in all the trenches of intellectual, moral, cultural and political struggle.”

“There is no right that has been obtained by a gracious concession of power, everything that has been achieved (…) has been obtained in the struggle, in the streets, on the highways, through interpellation (…) and to “There is no need to be afraid of that,” he said.

He added that the worst thing that can happen to a people is that they become victims of fear like today, according to their version, “the Government is trying to install.”

Let us not be afraid of State terrorism, let us not be afraid of the media siegeLet us not be terrified of the imposture of Arcist power, There is no abusive power that lasts 100 years”, he stated.

“Let’s not let fear put us against the wall, let’s not let force crush us (…) let’s not be afraid of power, power is simply something fragile. (…) it has a short life (…), consequently let us continue in the fight,” he continued.

He also thanked his followers for their expressions of solidarity. “I particularly thank (…) my colleagues who now have this noble task of protect my safety, even give me medication and to help me sustain this fight together with them,” he said.

Quintana, during the 24-day road blockade carried out by the evismo, spoke of a “blockade rite” with blood and is now wanted by the Police.

On the night of November 13, the Police raided his home in La Paz and did not find him. Last day, the Minister of Government, Eduardo Del Castillo, reported that the immigration alert against him had even been activated.
