The District Mobility Secretariat announced a comprehensive plan to guarantee vehicle flow during the Gran Fondo de Ciclismo de Bogotá, which will take place this Sunday, November 17. This sporting event, led by Egan Bernal, will include tours in 10 locations, highlighting emblematic points such as Alto de Patios and the Bogotá-Choachí road.
According to the entity, more than 200 people, including traffic police, civil agents, mobility guides and Traffic Management Center operators, will be strategically deployed to monitor and expedite mobility. Among the towns with the highest closures are Santa Fe, Chapinero, Usaquén, Suba, Engativá and Teusaquillo.
Road closures will begin at 3:00 am and will extend until 2:00 pm in some sections. For example, Carrera 8 between Calle 12B and Calle 10 will be closed until 3:00 pm, while other sectors, such as Avenida Circunvalar, will gradually reopen from 8:00 am

The TransMilenio mass transportation system will implement detours on 140 TransMiZonal routes and will suspend 15 specific services, such as CA103 and T06. In addition, stations of the Environmental Axis, such as the Gold Museum and Las Aguas, will be temporarily out of operation. Users can check the settings on the microsite enabled on the official TransMilenio website.
To minimize impacts, authorities recommend using public transportation such as the SITP, taxis or planning alternative routes. Among the suggested detours, Calle 6 to the west stands out for those traveling in the city center, and Avenida Boyacá for those circulate on Calle 53 and Calle 127.
