President Dina Boluarte and Chancellor Elmer Schialer receive the leaders of the 21 economies that make up the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum for the so-called leaders’ retreat, in accordance with the stipulated agenda.
This last meeting of the leaders marks the official end of the summit in Lima, after last night’s evening in which a gala dinner was held at the Government Palace and an artistic show with typical Peruvian dances.
The dignitaries arrived at the event, at the Lima Convention Center, and took an official photo with the Peruvian president. At the end of the meeting, the traditional group photo with all the leaders of the economic bloc is expected.
During these days, important meetings were held, such as the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), as well as the Economic Leaders Week, among others.
Closing remarks by the host president, Dina Boluarte, are scheduled to take place at approximately 1:00 p.m.
At the end of the day, Boluarte will hand over the APEC presidency to his Korean counterpart, Yoon Suk-yeol, who will host the 2025 meeting.
