The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, asserted this Saturday that extremism seeks Venezuela’s surrender by asking for more unilateral coercive measures against the country, but “they will never have it.”
The Minister for Petroleum also intervened during the Great Congress of the Historical Block which takes place at the Simón Bolívar Park Convention Center in La Carlota, Miranda state.
“It is not enough for fascism, for extremism, for human suffering or for the suffering that the Venezuelan people have gone through, their economy, with a terrible suffocation of 99% of our country’s foreign currency income, with the attack on the heart of Venezuela’s energy industry. It is not enough because they are looking for the surrender of Venezuela and they will never have it,” he asserted.
The vice presidency highlighted that this congress is evidence that these sectors will never have the surrender of Venezuela or the Venezuelan people. “We have shown it with our hands, the peasant movements, productive movements, fishermen, the communes; with their hands on the land, in the sea, guaranteeing the victory of Venezuela,” he said.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of the proposals presented during the congress on economic matters for the construction of the transformation program for Venezuela at this stage, in the face of the actions of extremist sectors that today “still ask for more sanctions because torture is not enough. that have subdued the national body, suffocating its economy, productive, commercial, and financial processes.”
Attempts to ruin Christmas for the people
The executive vice president denounced that sabotage actions have been taken against different sectors in order to ruin Christmas for the Venezuelan people. “You will soon know the details. They hit us hard by sabotaging gas and fuel, because they want to ruin Christmas for the Venezuelan people,” he stated.
He highlighted the importance of having a working class and a structure that is at the service of defending the interests of Venezuela and the country’s energy sovereignty.
“We must have a very high consciousness and that working class must have that same consciousness. Do not believe that corruption is merely corruption, it has been for destruction. Do not believe that betrayal is only a personal betrayal, it is a betrayal for the destruction of an independent and sovereign energy industry,” added the vice president.
Likewise, he commented that the sabotage of the electrical system, the refining system, the gas production and distribution system, aims to affect the people because the extremists, at the service of the global North, “seek in every way to torture Venezuela for its surrender.” ”.
Rodríguez emphasized that this congress must become a true wall of steel for the defense of the homeland, the wealth, the identity, the historical process and Venezuelan sovereignty.
