Santo Domingo.- In a joint inspection operation, agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry, discovered inside a cardboard box, two pans with a double bottom, filled with cocaine.

The kitchen containers, with the substance with a layer in its structure, were going to be sent to Germany, through an international shipping company, located in the National District.

The agents coordinated by the Public Ministry, assisted by canine units, verified a cardboard box, inside which the frying pans were found, covered in cocaine and lined with black plastic, a modality of criminal networks to try to circumvent the established controls. by the authorities.

The agency explained that the box would be sent by a man with an alleged address on San José de Ocoa Street, National District and would be received by an individual residing on Der Beune Avenue, Germany.

“The sheets of the drug, camouflaged in a double bottom of the pans, weighed more than 350 grams of cocaine, according to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).”

The Public Ministry and the DNCD carry out on-site investigations in relation to the frustrated shipment of cocaine, which highlights the operational intelligence capacity of the agents, compared to the ingenuity of international drug trafficking networks.
