Spirit Airline will resume its connecting flights between the Fort Lauderdale airport, in Miami, Florida, United States, and the Augusto C. Sandino terminal, in Managua, Nicaragua, starting next December 5, after keeping the trips suspended between both countries since last September 3.
The air transport company had suspended its flights, according to information shared by some ticket sales agencies, due to readjustments in its fleet.

The frequency of flights with this resumption, Spirit Airlines operators confirmed, will for now be established at three per week, which will connect the Miami airports with Managua.
Last August, prior to the suspension of flights, Spirit Airlines scheduled daily flights between these air stations.
The price of tickets for the first trips that Spirit Airlines will make, in the first week of next December, are quoted from 128 to 188 dollars, depending on the date of travel.
Aviación Nicaragua, a community of aviation fans and professionals in the country, which shares aeronautical content, first announced the resumption of Spirit airline flights. In addition, he revealed that next January he plans to “return to the usual daily frequency.”
Airlines increase flight frequency in December
He also explained that in the month of December other airlines will increase their frequency of travel, as part of the increase in landings that occur during the holiday season, New Year’s Eve, Christmas and New Year.

In the case of American Airlines, according to Aviación Nicaragua, from December 19 to January 6, 2025, “it will offer three daily flights between Miami, United States, and Managua, Nicaragua, round trip.”
Likewise, the air transport company United Airlines will add a second daily frequency from December 4 to January 7, 2025, according to Aviación Nicaragua.
