He Executive power ratified the agreement between the government of USA and the government of Peru for the donation of nine UH-60 (Black Hawk) helicopters and support equipment, which was signed in Lima on August 13.

The measure was published this Friday in the Official Gazette El Peruano, through Supreme Decree No. 055-2024-RE.
The agreement was approved by the Congress of the Republic, through Legislative Resolution No. 32163 of November 11, 2024.
The Supreme Decree is endorsed by the president Dina Boluarte and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmer Schialer Salcedo.
The rule orders that the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs proceed to publish in El Peruano the full text of the agreement and the date of its entry into force in accordance with articles 4 and 6 of Law No. 26647.
The donation was announced by the president on July 28 of this year. Subsequently, the Foreign Ministry confirmed the agreement with the United States on October 3.
The signed agreement establishes a legal framework for the transfer of helicopters and necessary support equipment, such as spare parts and training. In addition, the delivery will be in charge of the Ministry of the Interior and the aircraft will be destined for the National Police to combat illicit drug trafficking and health inspection.
