One of the five brothers of Francisco Wanderley Luiz, the man who exploded bombs near the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and died, said that Francisco, known as Tiü França, was obsessed with politics in recent years, participated in camps on highways against the election of Lula and his behavior was unrecognizable. He gave an interview to TV Brasil.
“A person with a weak mind, if they are not well centered, ends up letting themselves be carried away by hatred”, he said in an interview with the team at TV Brasilby phone.
Excited, the brother said that he had not been in contact with Francisco Wanderley, 59 years old, in recent months. Francisco, who was a locksmith, was a calm person, he said. However, after the last presidential elections in 2022, he only talked about politics, which made socializing difficult. This situation worsened last year.
The brother also said that his behavior was not unrecognizable.
Extremist camps and groups
The brother reported that Francisco participated in camps on roads in Santa Catarina contrary to the election of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in the 2022 election.
For him, the locksmith interacted with extremist groups on the internet, which led him to “hate”.
Alexandre de Moraes
The brother does not believe that the man intended to kill the STF minister, Alexandre de Moraes. The author of the bomb attack on the Supreme Court headquarters, according to investigations, targeted Moraes, rapporteur of the investigations into the coup acts of January 8.
Perplexed
He stated that the family is perplexed by the act and death of Francisco Wanderley.
Investigation
The family member also said that he lived off the income from rented houses in Rio do Sul, a city in Santa Catarina in Alto Vale do Itajaí where he lived and even contested the 2020 municipal elections, running for the position of councilor for the PL.
The Federal Police will investigate how the man obtained the money necessary to stay in the federal capital and whether acted alone or received some type of support to commit a terrorist act with the purpose of abolishing the rule of law through violent action.
The locksmith spent the last four months living in a rented house in Ceilândia, an administrative region of the Federal District, about 30 kilometers from Praça dos Três Poderes, in the central area of Brasília.
In addition to the house, where he prepared at least part of the explosive devices, he rented a trailer that was parked near Praça dos Três Poderes, along with other vehicles adapted to allow the sale of food.
