“For some ignorant people in Colombia who do not know what the meaning of these boots is, which is the 6,402 victims of false positives in Colombia, not only in Soacha and Bogotá, we want to tell you, how sad that you do this of throwing boots in a garbage dump, when they are not garbage. These were our children, our loved ones who were killed by the State.”said one of Soacha’s mothers, who asked for an exemplary sanction against Polo Polo and a public apology from the congressman.
“We ask for a public sanction and an apology to the victims of Colombia, because we are more than 10,000 victims in Colombia,” they pointed out.
For his part, the senator of the Historical Pact, Iván Cepeda, announced that he will take legal action against Polo Polo for the crimes of harassment and aggravated acts of discrimination.

“I announce that I will file a criminal complaint and disciplinary complaint against the representative of the Chamber Miguel Polo Polo, for the alleged commission of the crimes of harassment and aggravated acts of discrimination, for the affront that, today, he committed against the Mothers of Soacha, in the tribute they paid in memory of their children, victims of the so-called ‘false positives’, in the Congress of the Republic”indicated Cepeda.
“What Miguel Polo Polo did with the boots that the victims of extrajudicial executions put on as a symbolic act in honor of their relatives is outrageous, painful and violent. We ask that Mr. Polo Polo publicly recant and ask for forgiveness from the victims, that his sectarianism and ideology do not lead him to violate the victims of the State”expressed the senator of Commons, Sandra Ramírez.
