Tropical wave number 35 enters Nicaraguan territory today and will generate rain all weekend

Rains will continue throughout the week in the Pacific of Nicaragua

This Wednesday and Thursday, tropical wave number 35 is expected to enter Nicaraguan territory with greater force in the Pacific, central and northern parts of Nicaragua, which will generate more constant rains in the afternoon and evening hours, as announced by the Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (Ineter).

According to Manuel Prado, head of Climate Change at INETER, the rains will be more evident from Thursday until the weekend, however they could decrease by Sunday, according to weather conditions.

Regarding temperatures, the maximum temperatures will be between 30 and 33 degrees, this in the Pacific and the Caribbean, while in the North, they will range between 28 and 31 degrees. In the minimum temperatures, for the Pacific they will be from 24 to 26 degrees, in the north and center they will drop to 22 degrees, says the specialist.

“Between Monday and Wednesday we will have rain throughout the national territory, but mainly on the Caribbean Coast, Center and North of the country, by Thursday and weekend the rains will be heavier in the Pacific,” says Prado.

Prado states that in addition to the tropical wave, rain will also fall in the territory due to low pressure, but it could only influence Wednesday and Thursday.

For its part, the Observatory of National Phenomena (OFENA) warns that low pressure will affect the territory until Wednesday and the rest of the week will see the entry of two tropical waves, which have a 70% probability of becoming tropical depression.
