SANTIAGO. The authorities confiscated a stash of 880 sheets of cocaine, camouflaged in the lids of dozens of cardboard boxes, during a raid carried out in the Rinconada sector of the city of Santiago.
The agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry, after receiving intelligence reports, intervened in an apartment and its annexes, on 8A Street, in the Leslie Marie Tower, in search of several men, who according to the investigation are part of a network dedicated to the storage and sale of narcotic substances.
At the time of entering the residence, with the search warrant number, 2024-AJ0029787, no person was there, so the van-type vehicle, license plate I-093101, corresponding to apartment 4-B, was inspected. the aforementioned apartment tower.

When the vehicle was seized, 262 unassembled boxes were confiscated, all with a double bottom, containing hidden within the structures the 880 sheets of presumably cocaine, weighing approximately 230 kilograms.

The authorities are actively pursuing David Alfredo Montan Tavárez (the Compa) and another man who is presumed to be linked to the case, who are urged to turn themselves in through the appropriate means, so that they can answer the accusations against them.
