to liberal democracy, ideological bastion of neoliberal criticism, has been surpassed, according to this treacherous criterion, by authoritarian populism. Not in the entire world, not even in most countries, but in this rejego Mexico, the substitution process is, according to the interested version, advanced. The multitude of constitutional reforms, which AMLO left behind, is responsible for creating scandalous tendencies among the opponents. Each one of them produces bedsores, in leather and concepts, of different depth. But each of them feels their ambitions penetrating for a return to old times, gone by fortune. There will not be what they call autocracy no matter how much they repeat it, like a conspiracy, among the critical chorus. The country sails, calmly and even happily, towards better days with the distribution of rights and freedoms assured.
The great rebellion of the robes was left behind. They have had to endure the consequences of their enormous defeat. The protective shield of privileges and concentration of assets and few duties was shattered. The Supreme Court of Justice will not be the last constitutional pillar. There is a superior pact, supported by citizens, that elevates it to that category. And there, in its letter and spirit, accumulate the additional reforms that will round out the nation project chosen by the majorities. There will be no argument that attempts to reduce them to only the militancy of the brown These additional searches, behind the scenes or beneath the renewed consciousness, will not prosper. The shelter, the insistence, clearly undue, of the mass media, internal and external, matters little. The modeling that advances in pursuit of a system aimed at balancing wealth with rights for the majority will have to follow its just route.
But such aspirations, today realized in the construction of a second floor of transformations, require better support. Tax collection limps in search of resources. Those who are close are not enough in the face of the enormous shortcomings, aspirations and demands. The country has seen and suffered for too long accepting shortcomings that already seem structural, but are not. They have been timorous decisions that have persisted, in political courts, for almost unmemorable times. Duties have been ceded in the face of strong pressure from environments that seem powerful, sometimes unbeatable. They really aren’t. They can be channeled and responded to appropriately. Especially when there are just reasons behind it. In addition to the support of the national majorities with an updated and growing awareness, which pushes forward the pending tasks.
The structure, as it now stands, calls for urgent improvements. The roads and highways essential to improve distribution cannot function sufficiently with the improvements that are being carried out for now. Increasing the budgets for them, as for other needs and items, far exceed the existing assets. Even what can be done when better administration efficiently uses available resources.
We must start from the experience, documented to the last, that allowing dome accumulations works to the detriment of both the common goods and what affects the most unprotected grassroots layers. It is not possible to satisfy the ambitions for greater wealth of those who have benefited excessively and distribute it, with a minimum of decorum, among the people in need.
In truth, such an innovative decision to ensure much better public income affects established and powerful interests due to its available instruments. The dispute is not only true, but certainly provokes unseemly and cynical complaints. But we must face them because social justice, as delayed as it is haggled, demands it.
There are, behind the scenes of social redemption programs, emergencies that are not adequately addressed with the current resources that can be raised. Eliminating misery and marginalization, for example, begins with an educational system with adequate infrastructure at all levels. There follows one for health and another for housing that is even larger and of better quality than this one of the million distributed. Providing the Republic with modern technological instruments cannot be postponed. The same thing happens to provide it with the business news that inserts it, with advantage, into the global assembly. All of this, of course, goes beyond that poor achievement of raising 13 or 16 percent of the GDP. It is urgent to secure at least 30 or 35 percent to raise our heads and compete safely with everyone else.
The last administration had vast resources that supported privileges and waste. It is not the case that we have now. On the contrary, it begins with pressures of forced austerity that will prevent us from rising to the level of the required ambitions.
