The inclusion of the Superfinanciera within the agenda of the Panamanian magistrates was made at the suggestion of the Colombian Supreme Court of Justice, which leads the planned activities with various entities of the country’s Judicial Branch.

“Generating greater financial development is vital for Colombia, where the protection of the rights of financial consumers plays a relevant role in achieving greater financial inclusion and the jurisdictional functions in charge of the SFC constitute a fundamental pillar in this process”said a representative of the Superfinanciera.
The Delegate for Jurisdictional Functions of the SFC, Edward Mora, considered that “This is an opportunity to demonstrate how orality works. For us as judges, it is a pride to show the work we do at the SFC.”
One of the aspects that Panamanian magistrates consider relevant to migrate from the documentary to the oral system is the need to train judges to handle these types of hearings. The CSJ of Panama is in the process of implementing the complete oral system.
