Through videos and publications on social networks, mayors from the Morena party and the opposition highlighted attention to the problems left by the rainy season and that affect road users.
The patching program not only has the objective of improving the streets and avenues of the city, but also that in less than three months – according to the deadline set by the head of government, Clara Brugada – Mexico City will reduce its perception index of citizen problems in the National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) published by the INEGI.
Mayors attend “Bachetón”
On October 16, the head of government, Clara Brugada, together with the 16 mayors of Mexico City, gave the start to the crews to repair more than 42,000 potholes in 56 neighborhoods, as well as 15,000 potholes in 169 primary pathways
Since then, some mayors have highlighted progress in the joint strategy on their social networks:

According to information provided by the district’s works management, from October 2 to November 11, 2024, 34 reports of potholes have been attended to, 17 of which were in the period of the “bachetón” program, which is equivalent to 2,518 square meters of roads repaired.
The Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office, governed by the PAN member Mauricio TabeIn addition to “Bachetón”, it launched its “anti-pothole” program that together has attended to just over 5,000 potholes in the colonies, Chapultepec, San Miguel Chapultepec, Anáhuac, Escandón, Torre Blanca.
