The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, spoke this Tuesday about the recent approval in the United Nations General Assembly of Russia’s resolution against the glorification of Nazism and neo-Nazism.

“A total of 116 countries support this declaration, it is the new multipolar and pluricentric world that is being born, of which Venezuela is modestly a part,” said the President, who said he fully supported the fight of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and his Government.
On Monday, The General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) adopted a resolution from Russia aimed at combating the spread of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other ideologies.
The Russian proposal was supported by 116 nations, and rejected by 54 countries, including Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Japan, the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
Likewise, eleven nations abstained and several nations, including Armenia, Belarus, China, North Korea, Mali, Serbia and South Africa, supported the resolution.
