“The group that (Miguel Ángel) Yunes supported, there is the group. Let him take charge of the votes that came from Veracruz, which are what gave them a difference; that he take charge of the votes of Oaxaca, given to him by the representative who voted for the Judicial Reform; to take charge of the votes that the states gave to Morena, like Quintana Roo,” said the PAN member during an interview with Azucena Uresti.
He commented that he will review each state to identify the characters that are in the entities, because, he exemplified, in the Huatabampo municipality, Sonora, he has zero votes; Meanwhile, all the votes were concentrated by Jorge Romero.
“It was clear that some states and municipalities were burdened with payrolls. “I am not going to be intimidated or regulate my silence or my absence,” he declared.
He recalled that the PAN in Puebla decided that the election of the state leader will be by Council, because the militancy may be influenced by Morena, so he questioned whether “it was Morena that influenced Jorge to win the election.”
Regarding the offer that Jorge Romero made to her to join his leadership, she rejected it and pointed out that those agreements to offer “jobs” or candidacies have taken the party to where it currently is.
“I’m not looking for a job. I want to democratize this party, because this party is an instrument for the citizens, not for us. The jobs that have been offered to many like this are the ones who have it like this. It is the agreement of ‘I give you a candidacy’ or ‘I give you a position,’” he mentioned.
In addition, he said that “no one can feel happy” about the low participation of the PAN members in the elections to elect the next leader, since he said that this is a result of the fact that they have ignored the militants for 10 years.
“10 years ago no one called them to anything, 10 years ago everyone ignored them. “I’m not saying that there aren’t those who don’t have responsibility for that militancy, especially those who stay with their arms crossed,” he said.
