Oscar Vera Gargurevich will be the new General Manager of Petroperú

Through resolution SMV No. 005-2014-SMV/01, the board of directors of Petroperú agreed that Oscar Vera Gargurevich assume the position of general manager starting today, November 11.

Vera, the questioned former Minister of Energy and Mines, was nominated for that position, as reported Peru21.

Vera (Trujillo, August 15, 1958) is a chemical engineer and was head of Energy and Mines of Peru, between December 2022 and February 2024 during the government of Dina Boluarte. In fact, it emerged that the head of state wanted him in that position.

His professional career has been closely linked to Petroperú, where he has held various roles.

After her time at the ministry, Vera returned to Petroperú in February 2024, assuming the Operations Management of the Talara Refinery.
