Soldier is injured by explosive in Parotani, Government fears that blockaders had left the place "mined"

The Ministry of Defense Edmundo Novillo, through social networks, reported that after the unblocking carried out in Parotani, contingents of the Armed Forces and Police patrol the highway guaranteeing vehicular traffic throughout that area. In this effort, this Monday morning a uniformed officer was injured due to an explosion.

“We denounce and warn that surprisingly and unfortunately, this morning an Army soldier, carrying out patrol, He was the victim of an explosion that hit his hand generating severe damage to one of the fingers,” reads part of the post by the Minister of Defense, Edmundo Novilllo.

He adds that, “it is very likely that deliberately and with sinister malice the blockaders left the place mined.” with explosives, a fact that we will report to the Public Ministry for investigation and clarification.

Given this situation, The minister “calls on the population of Parotani to drive very carefully.” and caution in the area where there were blockades, in time to announce that police and military personnel will carry out a new search to detect and provide security to the population passing through the area.”

For more than twenty days this region was taken over by a group of followers of the evista wing of the MAS, who set up a blockade and confronted police officers on several occasions.
