Santo Domingo.- The Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) of the National Police, through its National Central Office (OCN) Interpol Santo Domingo, captured the Dominican Carlos Ariel Díaz Moralez, wanted by the Spanish authorities for the crimes of homicide and illegal possession of firearms. fire.

The arrest of Díaz Moralez was carried out at the Haina Vacation Reception Center, through an intelligence operation coordinated by the authorities. This arrest was made in compliance with a judicial resolution issued by the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice on September 10, which authorized his capture for extradition purposes.

Díaz Moralez was wanted internationally through a red notice issued by Interpol, issued on May 20, 2016. As part of the legal process, the detainee will be handed over to the Public Ministry in the next few hours to formally begin the extradition procedure requested by the Spanish justice.

This operation was possible, they announced, thanks to the collaboration between the Dominican authorities, reaffirming their commitment to international cooperation in the fight for justice and security.
