Interprovincial bus accident leaves three dead and 25 injured in Áncash

Three people died was the tragic result of a road accident that occurred in the mountains of the Ancash region. The bus, owned by the San Isidro company, had left the town of Sihuas and was heading to the coast, when it got lost and fell down a slope while traveling through the Tarica sector, in the province of Corongo, on the Sihuas route. -Chimbote.

The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Friday. Residents of the area immediately came to help those affected, quickly notifying the authorities.

As a result of this fatal accident, Javier Solís Lozano, 52, Whitney Asnaram Vilela, 34, and a third person who at the time of writing had not been identified lost their lives.

Meanwhile, several people were injured and were taken to nearby hospitals to receive specialized medical care.

According to the Emergency Operations Center (COER) of Áncash, the injured were referred to the Eleazar Guzmán Barrón hospitals, in Nuevo Chimbote, and La Caleta, in Chimbote.

Representatives of the Public Ministry and agents of the National Police traveled to the scene of the accident to begin investigations and determine the causes of the accident.

According to residents of the area, who helped in the rescue efforts, the poor condition of the road and the intense rains recorded in this sector of Áncash could have triggered the fateful event.
