Donald Trump could not win in Arizona in 2020, since the entity decided to give its support to Joe Biden

The president-elect of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, achieved victory in the “hinge state” of Arizona; with which he prevailed in the seven key states to win the elections in that country.

According to CNN and Associated Press polls, Trump added Arizona to the states Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina and Nevada, reaching a total of 312 electoral colleges in his favor while the vice president and Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris , was left parked at 226.

It must be remembered that Arizona in the 2020 elections left its tendency to support the Republican Party and give its support to the now outgoing US president, Joe Biden, which cost Donald Trump his defeat when he was seeking re-election.

The rapid growth of the Latino population and divisions within Democrats in the state of Arizona complicated the task of winning it back for Harris’ cause.

The border situation and the irregular migratory flow from Latin America could have influenced the entity’s support for the virtual president’s cause, since during his campaign he assured that the protection of the borders will be one of his priorities. In his first term, Trump had promoted the creation of a wall and the imposition of harsh immigration measures.

The Republican candidate Donald Trump prevailed on the day of the presidential elections in the United States over Kamala Harris with victory, November 5after surpassing the necessary 270 electoral colleges, to become the 47th president of that country.

It will be the first time in more than a century that a former president returns to office (he already governed between 2017 and 2021) after losing an election (those in 2020) and also the first time that a convicted criminal becomes President of the country. .

The Electoral College is a body made up of 538 delegates who elect states based on their population. The winning candidate in each state, even by a single vote, takes all of its delegates with the exception of Nebraska and Maine.

Not only that, Republicans also regained control of the Senate and likely retained the majority in the House of Representatives.
