Novorizontino frustrated the fans who filled the Jorge Ismael de Biasi Stadium this Saturday (9), dreaming of having an unprecedented place in the first division of the Brazilian Championship practically guaranteed. Better for Operário-PR, who beat Tigre do Vale 1-0 in a duel for the 36th round of Series B and remained alive in the fight for access. The match in Novo Horizonte (SP) was broadcast live by TV Brasil.
The team from São Paulo continues with 63 points, six ahead of Ceará, 5th place and the first team outside the Serie A (G4) classification zone. As a result, they will have to wait for the next duel in Series B to try to secure access, this time without depending on other results. Tigre returns to the field next Saturday (16), at 5pm (Brasília time), against Paysandu, again at home.
Operário, in turn, gained momentum in the fight for a place in Série A. Fantasma, in 7th place, had 56 points, one less than Ceará. Vozão still plays in this round: they face Botafogo-SP on Tuesday (12), at 9:30 pm, at the Santa Cruz Stadium/Arena Nicnet, in Ribeirão Preto (SP).
In addition to drying the people from Ceará, the team from Paraná is supporting Sport, which plays on Sunday (10), against Chapecoense, at 6:30 pm, on Ilha do Retiro, in Recife, with broadcast from TV Brasil. Leão has 59 points and occupies 4th position, last within the G4. In the next match, Operário hosts Mirassol at the Germano Krüger Stadium, in Ponta Grossa (PR), on Friday (15), at 4pm.
Novorizontino dominated the action during the 90 minutes. He finished almost three more times (21 to eight, 12 in the final stage) and had chances, especially with striker Rodolfo, but he didn’t take advantage. In the 40th minute of the second half, Operário scored the winning goal with Nathan Fogaça. Fantasma’s number 20 advanced from the left, took the ball to the middle and hit it low from outside the area, into goalkeeper Jordi’s corner, declaring the black and white triumph.
Another team to be reborn this Saturday in the fight for access to Series A was Goiás. Esmeraldino visited CRB at Rei Pelé, in Maceió, and won 1-0. The goal came in stoppage time of the final stage, with defender Lucas Ribeiro, header after a corner kick. It was the fifth consecutive victory for Goiás, who also completed five games without conceding goals.
Verdão had the same 57 points as Ceará, but is behind, in 6th place, for having one less victory (17 to 16). They are two points less than Sport, in fourth place. CRB could end the 36th round in the relegation zone if Ponte Preta, which opens the Z4 with 38 points, scores against Vila Nova on Monday (11), at 6:30 pm, at the Estádio Onésio Brasileiro Alvarenga, in Goiânia.
In the next round, Goiás will face Amazonas at the Carlos Zamith Stadium, in Manaus, next Saturday, at 7pm. On the other Sunday (17th), at 4pm, CRB will go to Santos (SP) to face the home team, in a duel that could give Peixe the Série B title.
