Buenos Aires will invest more than $720 million for infrastructure works in Villa Fiorito

Simone signed an agreement with the Municipality of Lomas de Zamora.

The Buenos Aires Ministry of Habitat and Urban Development announced the development of streets and public services for a neighborhood of 243 homes that will be built with funds from the national government in Villa Fiorito, Lomas de Zamora.

The portfolio, in charge of Agustín Simone, signed an agreement with the Municipality of Lomas de Zamora to carry out the infrastructure works of 243 homes that will be built in the Comac neighborhood of Villa Fiorito.

According to the provincial ministry in a statement on Friday, the tasks include the development of streets, sidewalks, drinking water networks, gas, electricity, public lighting, storm drains and home service connections.

Meanwhile, the 243 houses will be built with financing from the Ministry of Territorial Development and Habitat of the Nation, on a four-hectare property belonging to the Municipality of Lomas de Zamora, located on Esquel and Reaño streets.

During the meeting that took place at the community headquarters of Lomas de Zamora, Minister Simone signed the commitment together with the interim mayor Marina Lesci and stated: “With the joint work of the Nation, Province and municipality we are attacking the crudest problem in terms of of habitat and housing that are the villas and settlements”.

Along these lines, he added: “With this work we are going to radically transform the quality of life of families and of the city with the political decision of a present State.”

In that district, the Ministry is developing the urbanization of the popular neighborhood Campo Tongui, through the Provincial Organism for Social and Urban Integration (Opisu).

There, through an investment from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), infrastructure works and public services will be carried out.

Likewise, work is being done on the domain regularization of homes, the conditioning of community spaces and the commercial reactivation that aims to consolidate the ventures in the area for a comprehensive intervention in the neighborhood.
