They carry out an emergency comprehensive health tour in Búcaro de Tonosí

With multiple care services for the general population and pets, the Ministry of Health, together with the Social Security Fund, carries out a comprehensive emergency health tour in the community of Búcaro, district of Tonosí.

As a result of this tour, 93 people benefited, receiving services such as: dentistry, general medicine, nursing, vaccination, among other services. The departments of Health Promotion, Health Emergencies, Vector Control, Environmental Sanitation, Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance (CAVV) participated.

Manuel González González, regional director of Health in Los Santos, stated that all the institution’s services are available to the population, especially given the situation faced by the Tonosí district, after the floods.

“The Ministry of Health has been present from the first day with emergency services, verification of water quality, guidance on cleaning homes, care of pets, disposal of animal corpses, among other actions,” highlighted the galen.

Dr. González González also thanked Johanna Rudas, institutional director of the Social Security Fund in Los Santos, for the joint work that has been carried out in order to provide timely and on-site care to the affected people.

During the heavy rains recorded over the weekend, a landslide occurred in Búcaro that affected two houses that are located in vulnerable areas. Anti-rabies treatment and vaccination were applied to 55 pets.

A similar tour will take place this Friday, November 8, in Cambutal, another of the sectors impacted by the natural phenomenon.
