Military agents maintain active operations in search of cells linked to the Aragua Train, whose leadership was dismantled on September 20, 2023 when the Government took over its command base, that is, the Aragua Penitentiary Center, located in Tocorón.
On this occasion, three members of the criminal gang founded by Luis Rafael Santa Argueta (Luis Manilla) were killed during a procedure carried out in the Brisas de Aragua sector, Santos Michelena municipality (Las Tejerías), Aragua state.
Officials from the Cicpc and the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) No. 42 participated in that operation. Those killed are identified as Alexander Efraín Ramos Hernández (El Páparo), Winston José García Gámez (El Winston) and Osleider Alejandro Mangarré Colinas (El Cat).
At the scene, the agents collected a 12-gauge Covavenca shotgun and two .38 revolvers (Smith & Wesson, Colt), according to the report.
Once the fight was over, the officials proceeded to dismantle a ranch that served as a hideout for the bandits and where they located three cell phones, two electronic scales and a pistol charger.
Alias Luis Manilla was killed last Thursday, October 3, during a police-military deployment carried out in Morocopo, Tasajera and other sectors of the Aragonese municipalities of José Rafael Revenga (El Consejo) and Santos Michelena (Las Tejerías), according to reports.
The subject directed a cell of the Tren de Aragua dedicated to collecting vaccines from medium and small producers in the aforementioned municipalities. But in recent times they were stockpiling weapons and ammunition aimed at fomenting acts of violence before January 10, 2025, the day scheduled for the inauguration of President Nicolás Maduro, according to intelligence reports.
And on 13th Street in San Fernando de Apure, agents of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) arrested a 17-year-old teenager, linked to the Llano Train.
The boy was carrying a .38 Airweight 38 SPL.CTG revolver, which was confiscated. On July 29, one day after the presidential elections, the teenager was on the Boulevard of San Fernando de Apure participating in a violent protest with burning tires and a motorcycle.
From that place, the young man recorded a video, admitting his membership in the Tren del Llano, a structure that has a cell in Apure, led by Octavio José Rojas Martínez (El Fiebre), according to reports.
That cell responds to Oscar de Jesús Noguera Hernández (El Diente), leader of the aforementioned organization.
In another incident, the military detained Norberto Antonio Mota in the Viboral sector, Maturín (Monagas), from whom they seized four 20-caliber shotguns, according to the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB). Also in Monagas, but in Caripito, GNB agents captured Juan David Martínez Bravo and seized a 12-gauge shotgun from him.
