The State Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), of the São Paulo Civil Police, and the Tourist Assistance Police Station (Deatur) reported that, on Friday afternoon (8), a man was murdered at the Airport Guarulhos International.
The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of the State of São Paulo did not confirm the identity of the victim. Videos posted on social media show a man lying near a pedestrian crossing in front of one of the airport’s entrances.
The images show that the man was shot by two people who got out of a black car. According to DHPP, three other people were also injured. Two of them were taken to the Guarulhos General Hospital and the third was treated and interviewed at the scene.
“Other witnesses are also being interviewed by the Civil Police. A car, allegedly used by the shooters, was seized by the Military Police,” the SSP said in a statement.
